JONATHAN SHORT: I am a general practice attorney. I have experience with cases in criminal law, in traffic law, in family law, in contract dispute and in consumer protection.

JONATHAN SHORT: My philosophy with each client is not only that there are no certainties in life but that you cannot treat clients the same because everybody is a different personality. But the principle goal is to help the client first determine what the client wants to get out of legal representation. If you don't need an attorney, I'm going to be the first person to tell you that and to be glad to meet you.
One of my client's concerns, particularly in criminal cases is whether or not I'm going to judge them as to whether they're guilty or not guilty. So one of the first things I advise them is that that's not the lawyer's job to decide whether you're guilty or not guilty. It's the lawyer's job to be your advocate and that if you hire my office I'm going to be your advocate.
I'm a solo practitioner. What that means is that I'm not going to be handing you off to an associate or to a private investigator or to somebody else.

JONATHAN SHORT: You've got me when you hire me. It means that you have access to me during the day. It means you have access to my cell phone. It means that you've got me for the entire time that you've hired me and nobody else.
